STUDI PENGGUNAAN SEMEN CONCH UNTUK BETON MUTU SEDANG
The use of cement is increasing along with the construction of multi-storey buildings, long span bridges andother buildings that use concrete increasingly increasing. The quality of concrete used is generally medium qualityconcrete. Since 2012, the conch cement plant has built 5 factories in Indonesia, three of which are already operating,namely in Merak Banten, in Harui, South Kalimantan and in Monokwari Papua, the name of cement is conch with thetype of PCC. In this study, the characteristics (physical properties) of cement conch were tested, and followed by makingcylindrical specimens as many as 45, each 15 samples pressed at the age of 7, 14 and age 28 days. The results showedthat the physical properties of cement conch fulfilling the requirements based on SNI, and the results of the compressivetest at the age of 7 days obtained characteristic compressive strength F "C 31.46 Mpa, 14 days 30.76 Mpa and age 28days 31.14 Mpa, this shows that cement conch is suitable to be used to make medium quality concrete.
