KAJIAN POTENSI SEKAM PADI SEBAGAI ENERGI ALTERNATIF PENDUKUNG KETAHANAN ENERGI DI WILAYAH MAGELANG
Energy consumption especially electrical energy has increased along the time with majority the fulfillment of energy needs still relying on fossil energy. The condition encourages the need for diversification of energy sources, one is through utilization of biomass energy. One of the abundant sources of biomass comes from rice husk. The study method was carried out through numerical calculations, to determine the potential of rice husks, especially in Magelang Regency. In 2019, Magelang Regency has a total production of rice for about 210,269 thousand tons. The number can produce rice husk of 46,259 thousand tons. Rice husk can be used as fuel of gasifier through gasification technology, because it has a caloric value that is quite high 14.8 MJ/kg. The gas produced in the gasification process can be integrated with a driving machine to produce electricity. The potential can sustain energy security in the area of Magelang Regency.
