Kultūros įtaka darniajam vystymuisi Baltijos šalių pavyzdžiu ; The influence of culture on sustainable development following the example of the Baltic States
Work goal - analyze the impact of culture towards sustainability as in the example, of the Baltic States. It is being said, that sustainable development is made out of three dimensions, which, social, economic and environmental protection, however, it is more often being said, that culture is an integral part of sustainable development. Culture does not only include society’s actions, traditions and norms, but also shows the direct relationship of people with the world that they are surrounded by, including nature and it's preservation. In this research, culture is being recognized as a foundation of sustainable development, were in action, the dimensions are successfully working together. While in research, it was determined, that different cultures impact the sustainable development decisions of the Baltic States. After analyzing Lithuania's, Latvia's and Estonia's national sustainable development strategies, it was determined that the activities of different cultures, are being interpreted and integrated differently. In the Lithuanian and Latvian strategy documents, cultural activities are integrated in pursuance of sustainable economy, job safety, while in Estonia's strategic documents it is emphasized the prioritized of education and creating the opportunity to study for life.
