Expanded concrete modelling for students
The purpose of this thesis is to help students gain knowledge to further use the tool at a higher level. This topic is relevant as Tekla Structures is one of the most well-known tools for engineers today. The main goal of this work is to expand the existing task of the course. In the existing exercise, students did basic things like modeling walls, columns, beams, and foundations. A thing that would be useful in this course is the information on how to model reinforcement in Tekla Structures. The task is to give a brief description of the tool itself, a description of its options, such as display settings, properties, etc. A more specific dive into some of the tools. And also demonstrate how the interface works. The result of this work should be the students’ ability to understand the tools of reinforcement. And in the future, ability to develop as specialists in this field, compete in the labor market and perform various tasks in this software package. As for the future work, it can be supplemented with information about parametric modelling, about creating more complex or parametric components. It would be great to see the transfer of the virtual model to the analytical one.
