Deliverable 6.1 Business model analysis for the case studies
The aim of this report is to provide an approach to different business models (BM) related with operation and energy services for the three case study thermal solutions, in order to ensure the correct performance and durability of the systems by handling all the necessary technical and financial information provided by the CHESS SETUP system. Through a close analysis of the current ESCO market situation, this Deliverable is meant to propose and develop an ESCO model for holistic energy efficiency retrofitting projects, focusing on the system developed by CHESS SETUP project which consists on the optimal combination of solar thermal (ST) energy production, heat storage and heat pump use. This model, with its variances / differences regarding the implementation on the three demonstration pilot sites, should be able to provide a profitable, feasible and scalable business model (BM) to operate and maintain CHESS SETUP solution, and to maximize its efficiency. The model proposed is presented with the different terms and alternatives, as well as the benefits earned both for the client and for the ESCOs, and should be adjusted according to the three pilot’s experiences to guarantee its replicability on similar conditions.
