OR Z/ME/W37 .2B43 ; 55 ; Cover title.; "November 5, 1997."; Includes maps. ; "In the early 1990s, a regional planning effort focusing on the Rogue River basin was initiated by the Rogue Valley Council of Governments and a regional group known as the Water Resources Steering Committee. It was determined that the Bear Creek basin would be targeted as an initial study area. A list of objectives was developed and committees were formed to address specific tasks. These included the Municipal/industrial Committee, the Agricultural Committee, the Instream Committee and the Water Sources Committee. A wide range of participants including water utilities, water districts, regulatory and affected agencies, agricultural and industrial groups and concerned citizens have since been involved in this project. The focus of the study has been on identifying current water usage within the region, future demand trends and supply options. The report is intended to assist the participants in long range planning and to facilitate more efficient allocation of water resources. The Bear Creek Valley "2050" Municipal Water Supply Plan is the resulting contribution of the Municipal/Industrial Committee, working in cooperation with the other three committees and additional interested parties" P.
