Research and conservation in the Roman baths of Marina El-Alamein in the 2012 and 2013 seasons (Polish-Egyptian conservation mission)
In the 2012 and 2013, the program of activities of the Polish-Egyptian Conservation Mission to Marina el-Alamein included above all continuation of the research, conservation and exhibition in the area south of the ancient town’s central square, where remains of Roman public baths that were in use from 2nd to 4th century and the civic basilica, have survived. These seasons’ works focused on the baths’ main rooms: caldarium, frigidarium, partially civic basilica and the southern part of the complex.
