D7.1 Report on Demand - Themes of interest to Horizon EU programming on rural/social
Building on the successful experience gained in the FP7 project “AgriPolicy”, the concept of “Report on Demand” has been retained in SHERPA. The concept offers the possibility for DG AGRI to ask the SHERPA team to prepare a report on a specific subject at any time of the project. Both the topic and the time of delivery of the report are flexible, in order to allow targeted and timely contribution to the work of DG AGRI. During the kick-off meeting of SHERPA organised on 21-22 October 2019, officers from DG AGRI expressed an interest to receive a contribution before the end of December 2019, to support them in the preparation of the work programmes of the first call for proposals of Horizon Europe. To help identifying topics for research projects, the demand was to receive an overview of the research projects relevant to “rural policy” previously financed by the EU in the Framework Programme (FP6, FP7, H2020) and in other initiatives such as ESPON or INTERREG. This document presents the outcomes of this analysis carried out between 20 November 2019 and 18 December 2019.
