Ranking of Waste Materials used in Road Construction by using Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Techniques
As we know the construction of roads of roads requires a lot of cement, concrete, and aggregates in bulk which sometimes is not totally convenient geographically and most importantly economically. Therefore to meet the demands of materials in road construction the addition of few materials called as secondary and tertiary materials have been used. These materials are waste by-products. These materials are tested assisted and are brought to use depending on the waste product characteristics. Some waste by-products used are waste plastic, waste rubber, and different types of fly ash. These waste materials are used as aggregates in concrete, asphalt pavement etc. so that in this way these waste materials will also be used accordingly. Waste materials when added proportionately increases the features of the road material and is also very economical. And in this way the preservation of natural resources will be attained by the use of secondary materials in road construction.
