Local Agenda 21. Goals to Sustainability. Kallithea Rhodes Municipality
This document attempts to summarize the basic principles and goals for the development of a Local Agenda 21 in Kallithea. It is the result of a public consultation procedure that has started since 1998 in the municipality of Kallithea Rhodes. The Municipality has already planned and implemented the following Sustainable Development initiatives: Detailed presentation to the City Council of the Local Agenda 21 implementation proposal Open discussion with Local Bodies "Together we plan the Future", Production of an educational video, questionnaire with the results of the meeting. Participation in the mission to the Ecological Municipality of Gotland, exchange of experiences in sustainability issues and development of contacts for cooperation. Progress Evaluation towards sustainability in the Municipality of Kallithea Compilation of a "Local Employment Plan" in the Municipality of Kallithea The document you have in your hands today is a "voluntary agreement" that came about after dialogue and discussions between the residents of the Municipality of Kallithea, the Municipal Council, the associations, the Unions, the representatives of the stakeholders. It is based on the efforts already made today and the vision and hopes of all of us for what we will plan together in the coming future. ; In greek with english summary available
