Report from Task 8 of MEWS Project - MEWS Methodology for Developing Moisture Management Strategies - Application to Stucco Clad Wood-Frame Walls in North America
The objective of this report is to communicate, in a very concise form, some of the accomplishments of the MEWS (Moisture Management for Exterior Wall Systems) project. This will be done in terms of the research methodology adopted, as well as the outcome of its application to the first type of walls analysed in the project - Stucco-clad exterior wood-frame wall assemblies. Only a few examples will be cited in this report. Many reports have been produced detailing the process followed and the results obtained. The interested reader is welcome to refer to these documents for a more detailed investigation of any selected topics. ; Le rapport a pour but de communiquer, sous une forme très concise, certaines des réalisations du projet CHME (contrôle de l'humidité dans les murs extérieurs). On décrit la méthode de recherche employée ainsi que les résultats de l'application de cette méthode au premier type de murs analysés dans le cadre du projet, soit des murs extérieurs à ossature en bois revêtus de stuc. On ne cite que quelques exemples. De nombreux rapports donnent une description détaillée du processus et des résultats obtenus.
