A Review on Factors Causing Dust Pollution and Its Controlin Construction Sites
Dust pollution is increasing day by day and the main causes include combustion of fossil fuels, smoke from industries, vehicles etc. The construction industry is one of the major contributors to dust pollution. Along the duration of a project, most of the activities involved, in one way or another, generate dust. There are many factors in a construction site that can result in dust pollution on site. The use of different construction equipment on site, transportation and different construction activities etc. can be factors that results in dust pollution. Proper identification of these factors can help in implementing control measures which can help reduce dust pollution on site. In this study, the factors that cause dust pollution on site and measures taken to curb it are identified from reviewing the literatures related to dust pollution on construction sites and its evaluation.
