The limitation of available resources and the economic and climatic costs of energy inevitably lead to light constructions as a necessary means of curtailing consumption.The documented workshops “Flying Structures” and "Fold Fly Inflate" investigates and tests how those light structures can be digitally fabricated and parametrically designed using lasercutting and 3D printing technology. The resulting prototypes were developed in a collaborative process.
