The new, brightly coloured larch window frames and larch siding reveal that we are looking at a new house. This replacement for a 16th century building in danger of collapse harmonizes perfectly with the historic houses of Hallstatt in the Austrian Salzkammergut area. Given the complex topology, building in the World Cultural Heritage site was both challenge and motivation for Luger & Maul.
