Conversion in Cuneo
In the early decades of the 20th century the Italian railway service built housing for its employees all across the country. Also southwest of Turin, in Cuneo, along the Via Luzzatti, where an ensemble of these railway worker's houses was created: L-shaped in plan and with a gently sloping hipped roof and a single storey for dwelling, accessed by an unusually tall exterior staircase and featuring a small terrace.
In den ersten Jahrzehnten des 20. Jahrhunderts errichtete die italienische Bahn überall im Land Wohnhäuser für ihre Angestellten. Auch in der Via Luzzatti in Cuneo südwestlich von Turin entstand damals ein Ensemble dieser Eisenbahnerwohnungen: Häuser mit L-förmigem Grundriss, flachem Walmdach und einem einzigen, über eine ungewöhnlich hohe Außentreppe und eine kleine Veranda erreichbaren Wohngeschoss.
