Norwegen liegt in Europa ganz vorn bei der Einführung der BIM-Methode: Schon 2008 veröffentlichte Statsbygg, die Behörde für öffentliche Bauvorhaben, einen ersten BIM-Standard. Seit 2010 muss bei öffentlichen Bauvorhaben ein IFC-Modell erstellt werden, das dann auch als Grundlage für den Gebäudebetrieb dient. Längst haben auch private Bauherren und die zumeist großen norwegischen Baukonzerne die Vorteile solcher Modelle erkannt.
When it comes to introducing BIM methods in Europe, Norway plays a leading role. In 2008 the public building authority, Statsbygg, published an initial set of BIM standards. Since 2010 public con struction projects require creating an ICF model that can also serve as basis for operating a build ing. Private clients and the mostly large Norwegian construction firms have long since recognised the, advantages that these models pose.
