In dem eher dörflich geprägten Vorort Wabern ragt der sogenannte Garden Tower deutlich aus seiner Umgebung heraus. Der Neubau geht auf einen Wettbewerb im Jahr 2007 zurück, der die Bebauung von Ackerland mit Wohnungen vorsah., , Um eine möglichst große Vielfalt zu erzielen und unterschiedliche Nutzergruppen anzusprechen, wurde das rund 24 000 m² große Areal in fünf Baufelder mit verschiedenen Entwurfsthemen unterteilt: Wohnen am Hof, Wohnen im Baumhain, Wohnen mit Patio, Wohnen mit Balkon und Wohnen mit Aussicht., , Zu letzterem entwickelten Buchner Bründler einen verglasten Wohnturm mit polygonalem Grundriss, dessen Geschossfläche sich nach oben hin vergrößert.
In the suburb of Wabern, which has retained much of its village character, the building known as the Garden Tower stands out clearly from its surroundings. The new building resulted from a competition held in 2007 that proposed the construction of housing on arable land., , To achieve maximum diversity and to appeal to a variety of user groups, the site measuring roughly 24 000 m² was divided up into five building lots ascribed to different design themes: housing with a courtyard, housing in a grove, housing with a patio, housing with a balcony and housing with a view., , For the last of these themes Buchner Bründler designed a glazed residential tower on a polygonal plan, in which the floor area increases from storey to storey.
