Brombach Sports Hall
In Lörrach, to the north of Basle, a series of building projects is being realized at present promoted by the foundation of the former Schöpflin textile factory. In addition to a “Fabric-Wunschproduktion”, designed to implement numerous ideas from the population, such as a civic canteen, workshops and accommodation on the former factory grounds, the foundation has provided a site for a new housing district and a multipurpose sports hall. In 2014, the Stuttgart architects’ office of Glück and Partners won the competition for the new development, which is situated immediately next to the suburban railway station with forecourt access serving the district of Brombach.
In Lörrach nördlich von Basel entsteht derzeit eine Reihe von Bauvorhaben, die von der Stiftung der ehemaligen Textilfabrik Schöpflin gefördert werden. Neben der Fabric-Wunschproduktion, einem Projekt, das zahlreiche Ideen der Bevölkerung wie eine Bürgerkantine, Werkstätten und Wohnräume auf dem ehemaligen Fabrikareal umsetzen soll, stellte die Stiftung ein Gelände für ein neues Wohnquartier und eine Mehrzweck- Sporthalle zur Verfügung. Das Stuttgarter Architekturbüro Glück + Partner gewann 2014 den Wettbewerb für den Neubau, der direkt am S-Bahnhof des Stadtteils Brombach liegt und vom Vorplatz aus erschlossen wird.
