Subsidized Housing Development in Neu-Ulm
A new urban quarter is under construction in the southeast of Neu-Ulm on a former military site. It is part of the model project “efficient construction – affordable housing” of the Supreme Bavarian Building Authority. Within a form resembling a double cross in plan, a longitudinal building volume features 40 social housing units, complemented by two lateral, intersecting building parts. The filigree volume responds to the surrounding heterogeneous context and the existing green space, emphasized by the airy balconies and the raised lateral building parts.
Im Südosten Neu-Ulms entsteht auf einem ehemaligen Militärgelände ein neues Quartier im Rahmen des Modellvorhabens „effizient bauen – leistbar wohnen“ der Obersten Bayerischen Baubehörde. Das langgestreckte Gebäude mit 40 Sozialwohnungen ist mit zwei Querriegeln gegliedert und bildet so eine doppelte Kreuzform. Die feingliedrige Kubatur verzahnt sich sowohl mit der heterogenen Bebauung der Umgebung als auch mit dem bestehenden Grünraum, was die luftigen Balkone und die aufgeständerten Querriegel noch betonen.
