London's New Design Quarter
London’s new Design District is one of those places that on paper shouldn’t work. A group of eight different architects designing two free-standing buildings each, on a site barely over a hectare in size, surrounded by upscale residential and office towers? That sort of architectural and aesthetic pick’n’mix rarely succeeds in practice. What’s more, can you really conjure up a creative quarter out of an entirely new piece of city?

Acht Architekturbüros haben hier je zwei Solitärgebäude entworfen. Kann so ein völlig neues Stück Stadt wirklich zum Kreativviertel werden?
