For its latest residential district, built on the site of the former Prinz Eugen Barracks, the City of Munich has focused on typological diversity. The 30-hectare site beyond the city centre provides homes for about 4,000 people, and about one third of it was built as an ecological model development using timber and hybrid timber construction. An expressly established cooperative manages the community.
Bei ihrem jüngsten Wohnquartier auf dem Areal der ehemaligen Prinz-Eugen-Kaserne setzt die Stadt München auf typologische Vielfalt. Das 30 ha große Areal außerhalb des Stadtzentrums bietet Wohnraum für rund 4000 Menschen und wurde zu rund einem Drittel als ökologische Mustersiedlung in Holz- und Holz-Hybridbauweise errichtet. Das Quartiersmanagement hat eine eigens gegründete Genossenschaft übernommen.
