Cooperative Housing La Balma in Barcelona
La Balma is the first cooperative housing project in Barcelona based on a competition. Due to the participative planning process, the omission of parking spaces and a solid timber load bearing structure optimised by use of BIM, the corner lot building is considered a textbook case of sustainable and affordable housing for inner cities.
La Balma ist der erste Genossenschaftsbau Barcelonas, der im Rahmen eines Wettbewerbsverfahrens entstanden ist. Der partizipative Planungsprozess, der Verzicht auf Stellplätze und ein Tragwerk aus Massivholz, das mit BIM optimiert wurde, machen das Eckgebäude zum Musterbeispiel für nachhaltiges und kostengünstiges Wohnen in der Innenstadt.
