Damage indicators for unreinforced masonry building walls subjected to seismic actions
Energy dissipation and stiffness degradation are important seismic performance indicators within the numerical modelling of structures, and in this case particularly of masonry. They are of great importance for evaluation of the seismic performance of masonry walls. An example of an existing masonry residential building located in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina was investigated in this paper. It was observed that during the response of the building to horizontal actions the stiffness degradation of masonry walls was evident.
