Documenting and preserving: new technologies for the knowledge, the safeguarding and the communication of Armenian cultural heritage
The main aim of survey is the architecture’s comprehension. To the end of cultural heritage conservation, it is also necessary to communicate the acquired knowledge. In the recent years, this need has resulted in a radical change in cataloging and digitization systems and telematics networking. Moreover, the use of laser scanner has transformed not only the approaches related to metrics data acquisition and graphic rendering but has also given the opportunity to share important data on the web. This paper focus on the usefulness of new technologies for documentation, showing a case study developed in Armenia.
