The Convention is a great chance for european landscapes and is an important input to promote democracy, to safeguard human rights and to research common solutions for European social issues. Each year for seven year Council of Europe organizes a technical meeting to monitor the effects and results of Convention. In 2008, meeting has been organized by Slovak Republic and the title or better, the main theme has been “Landscape in planning policies and governance: towards integrated spatial management”.
