THE ARCHITECTURAL SPACE THROUGH THE SHADOW: AN APPROACH FROM THE PERCEPTION IN ARCHITECTURE
In the present work, the relationship between the phenomenon of the shadow and the architectural space is explained and interpreted. Based on an analysis-synthesis matrix, the theoretical bases that allowed us to direct this study towards the understanding of this concept supported by images are capitalized. It also illustrates with examples the theoretical treatment that could open new schemes to identify the shadow as a configurator of the architectural space and whose process focuses on analyzing and describing effects and principles that produce the shadow phenomenon in architecture and whose objective is to show the wealth that a phenomenon contributes to the articulation of the inhabitant and space by understanding the concept and evidencing the turn to the paradigm of light in architecture through the concept of time and figure.
