The concept of "Harmony between man and nature" in traditional chinese architectural space
The article is a first ever analysis of the concept of "unity between man and nature" and its three main meanings, which originated from ancient Chinese geography and natural conditions. We consider the embodiment and rules of application of the three levels of this concept in the ancient Chinese architectural space and how it could be applied in modern sustainable city planning and architectural design.
