La sobriété, fin ou moyen ?
Addressing the issue of energy sobriety requires at least an effort of interdisciplinarity, since the object “energy” is hydride. Highly material, since energy is the basis of everything (including living), the object is also social and largely determines the forms of social and economic organization based on material growth, itself dependent... the amount of energy that the system receives. This will be the first part of our reflection. It is not enough to say that we must decarbonize our production methods and lifestyles for vital reasons. Indeed the thickness of social, the complexity of human oppose brakes and fierce resistance to the adoption of more frugal lifestyles, which will be addressed in a second time. Finally, in a third step, with a more pragmatic and methodological approach, we will address the challenges of territorial metabolism, linking human communities and their environment, based on an ethnoaccounting.
