Traffic simulation using distributed cellular automata in the Multi-agent system
This article is aimed at the description of traffic simulation architecture based on a multi-agent system and cellular automata. This approach allows a better understanding of complexity of the real traffic and to build advanced dynamic navigation systems, which will be able to predict the traffic situation and to use an information based on current statistical data. In the future, such navigation systems will help us to prevent congestions and other problems, which are caused by increasing traffic intensity.
