The tune of mass dampers for the Municipal Stadium in Poznan
This paper presents the issues related to the design of the multiple tuned mass dampers (MTMD) for the Municipal Stadium in Poznan. It is focused on the design issues, in particular the selection of parameters of mass dampers, their location at the main structure (in this case the full modal analysis was carried out) and the optimization of dampers parameters (the optimization algorithm DAMP-SYM application was used). The verification of the assumptions made during the design stage was carried out, taking into account the dynamic tests of TMD as well as the measurements on the real object of Municipal Stadium in Poznan.
