THE MODERN LIBRARY ARCHITECTURE IN THE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT
The article deals with the problem of actualization of the form and content of the library building in accordance with the current requirements for the library space (on the example of the Gorky Regional Library in Perm). The article describes an example of the development of an additional architectural volume for the existing library building with the new public spaces, open access to funds and various types of reading places. The goal of the work is to create a project of a modern library building in the historical development of the Soviet period in Perm. The objectives include the structural design and space planning of the library, taking into account new requirements for the library functions; The analysis of the building regulations in the historical development and the choice of the facade design, acceptable near the object of cultural heritage and the surrounding area.
