A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Solidarity Studio is an İstanbul-based initiative by professionals, students and academics assisting and providing volunteer consultancy to threatened neighbourhoods in their struggle against urban regeneration (an umbrella term covering renewal and gentrification)1. Basically, the technical and scientific knowledge of experts from different disciplines is used to increase a neighbourhood’s collective capacity to act, through a type of interaction grounded in mutual learning.
