This article describes the development of research on Evaluation of Environmental Performance, especially of studies centered in such issues as Environmental Comfort and Post-Occupancy Evaluation, which has taken place under the direction of the area of Technology of Architecture of the graduate course at FAUUSP in the past quarter of a century. The consolidation of these research objects and the education of the teaching and research personnel for universities and research centers all over the country are themes discussed in the light of future trends in Technology of Architecture and its importance for the professional background of the architect and the urban planner
