The housing situation in Poland is improving every year. Positive changes are observed both in terms of the number of residential premises and in terms of quality. However, the pace of these changes is not satisfactory. The condition and structure of housing resources still do not meet citizens' expectations, and the housing deficit remains high. The aims of the article are to analyze the condition and structure of housing resources and to show the impact of these parameters on the housing situation in Poland. The author focuses on selected parameters used to analyze the state and structure of housing resources. Analyzes the number of flats, comparing it with the population. It also examines the average usable floor space and the number of inhabitants per one dwelling. The text also touche.s upon the problem of the housing standard and substandard housing and assesses the impact of these parameters on the housing situation in Poland.(original abstract)
