Engineering geological features of municipality Gadžin Han

Engineering geological features of the terrain are one of the important factors for land use. Hence, engineering geological maps are the basis for good spatial and urban planning. Knowing location of unstable zones we can avoid major damage. Research carried out on the part of the municipality of Gadžin Han shows that it is endangered by landslides. The causes of landslides are numerous, mostly the lithology, degree of mechanical damage (cracking and weathering), morphology, hydrology and hydrogeology, vegetation etc. The most vulnerable part is Zaplanje area where the largest number of landslides is registered. This paper is overview of engineering geological features of municipality Gadžin Han with special review of landslides and falls.
