Microclimate features of a city in winter for assessing landscaping possibilities on the example of Irkutsk and Baikalsk
Urban climatopes are classified and described. The climatic conditions of the cities of Irkutsk and Baikalsk are considered; the types of climatope and their connection with landscaping are identified and characterized. The concept of “winter city” and its features are shown. Climatope maps have been developed for Irkutsk and Baikalsk to enable the territory of these cities to be zoned allowing for microclimatic features. The study may be useful for landscaping design.
