The article provides a historical and architectural analysis of the cultural and public buildings from the 1950s architectural heritage left behind by the architect V.A. Gagarin. Not only did he design new buildings, but also reconstructed existing ones, erected both in the classical style and in the forms of avant-garde architecture, turning them into harmonious architectural works and architectural and landscape ensembles.
