A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The city on the move: socio spatial dynamic in Limeira, SP
This article analyses processes of dynamics in urban space of Limeira city, São Paulo State, taking by agents the public power and private initiative in the conformation or configuration of the central area’s urbanization, especially in the period between the 1960s and the first decade of the XXI century. Were focused to this analysis three cuttings of the urban center, identified as decadent center, old center and new center. Stand out in these portions some processes and features the material use of this spaces in context of occupation and use of urban land. As part of current interest to the urban occupation, the new center appears as the main focus of this study with the promotion of relevant issues regarding their current urbanization.
