Pilot study on heat pump coupled humidification-dehumidification for concentrated leachate treatment
Concentrated leachate is a type of wastewater with high salt content, high organic matter content, and difficult degradation characteristics. Its treatment is extremely difficult and has become a difficult problem in leachate treatment. This article combined the advantages of heat pump technology and humidification-dehumidification(HDH) technology to propose a new method for treating concentrated leachate based on heat pump coupled HDH technology. A pilot study was conducted to verify its feasibility and advantages and disadvantages in practical applications. The experimental results showed that the heat pump coupled with HDH technology had a significant effect on the treatment of concentrated leachate. During the treatment process, the desalination rate, organic matter removal rate, and ammonia-nitrogen removal rate under acidic conditions reached 99.5%, 98.2%, and 67.8%, respectively. The treated condensate water quality could meet the standards for reuse and discharge. At the same time, the concentration rate of the raw water reached 20 times, indicating a significant reduction effect. Economic analysis showed that, the investment of heat pump coupled HDH technology was 87 600 yuan/t, and the operating cost was 54.47 yuan/t. Compared with other evaporation technologies, it had the advantage of saving investment and operating costs.
