Determine Hamadan University of Medical Sciences Determination of Core Journals in Hamadan University of Medical Sciences with Bradford's Law
The aim of this research is to determine the core journals in Hamadan University of medical sciences with Bradford's law of scattering. Survey method, bibliometrics and Bradford's law are used in this research. Research population consists of all subscribed journals of Hamadan University of medical sciences in 2004-006. Research results show that 109 journals (74.7 percent of all journals) were used and 37 journals (25.3 percent of all journals) were not used in the research period. Journals were used 984 times in research period. Average of usage rate of each journal title was 6.74 times. 13 journal titles were to determine as core journals. These core journals were used 337 times (34.2 percent of all usages) in research period. 72.3 percent of users believe that the use of journals response to their information needs a great deal.
