AN INCOMPATIBLE LAYERWISE METHOD FOR BENDING LAMINATED SHELLS
Based on Wilson incompatible element technique and Reddy ’s layerwise theory( LWM),an incompatible layerwise method( ILWM) is presented to deal with the bending problems of laminated shells in this study. Derivation of the equilibrium equations of the ILWM is performed. Several examples are studied to validate the capabilities of proposed method.The numerical results indicate that The ILWM achieves better convergence rate and computational accuracy compared with LWM for bending models.
