Cementation of silver from thiosulphate solutions with mechanochemically activated zinc
The behaviour of the cementation of solution of Na3[Ag(S2O3)2] with powder zinc before and after mechanical activation was investigated. The influence of parameters of mechanical activation of zinc such as milling time, milling medium, type of mill and speed of milling were studied. The behaviour of cementation was analysed in a continuous mode. Mechanical activation has a positive influence on the kinetics and recovery of cementation.
