L'Acqua e la città. Urbanistica involontaria / Water and the City. Unintentional Urbanism
Questo articolo tratta di «epifenomeni», una parola relativamente indefinita che si rivolge ad effetti di sfondo o collaterali dei quali la relazione con la loro causa è piuttosto sfocata. In questo caso, ci concentriamo specificamente sugli aspetti fisici dell’ambiente urbano-bioclimatico come i flussi d’acqua, i flussi termici e la presenza di spazi verdi. Più specificamente, analizzeremo come questi sono soggetti a diversi tipi di urbanizzazione. Sulla base di una breve trattazione su Bordeaux, giungiamo alla conclusione che l’acqua - in tutte le sue presenze - sta riconquistando importanza nel funzionamento e la progettazione della città, seppur in modo più astratto e computazionale. / This paper is framed by the word «epiphenomena», a rather undefined word pointing to background or side effects of which the relation with their cause is relatively blurry. In our case, we focus on physical aspects of the bio-climatic urban environment, such as water flows, heat flux and presence of green space. More specifically, we look at how these are subject to different types of urbanization. Based on a brief discussion of Bordeaux, we arrive at the conclusion that water - in all of it's appearances - is regaining importance in the functionning and designing of the city, albeit in a more abstract and computational way.
