The Chianti’s landscape - which is the result of a complex mix of cultural, historical, environmental, socio-economic, scenic values that have designed a unique context - plays a strategic role in processes of growth and local development. In particular, new forms of multifunctional agriculture (integrated with touristic and commercial activities) and sustainable tourism, that rest on the environmental and cultural resources, can act both for the creation and protection of the cultural landscape.
