STRUCTURAL AND PETROLOGICAL IN DICATORSOF THE SURFACING OF MELIATA BLUESCHISCHT FACIES ROCKS
Structural and petrological analyses from Meliata blueschist facies rocks indicate partial deformation resulted during progressive stage of metamorphism. Foliation is defined by blue amphibole, phengite and epi-dote. Macro- and microscopic structures reveal northverging trusting with NNE directed stretching lineations. Most of these structures, reflecting ductile deformation in blueschist-greenschist facies conditions, formed dur-ing exhumation of the Meliata high-pressure/low-temperature rocks.
