Parking guidance and information system
Imbalance between parking supply and demand is reflected, among others, in long parking search time. Cruising for parking represents additional time and money costs for drivers. In addition, it increases traffic volume and hense contribute to traffic congestion. In this paper the possibility of using modern information technology in solving/mitigating this problem is examined. The criteria for the introduction of such system and expected/actual effects of its implementation are highlighted.
