Investigation on seismic performance of rural residential buildings in Tongling, Anhui
According to the seismic design code of buildings and the identification standard of dangerous buildings, this study carried out a comprehensive survey of rural residential buildings in Tongling city of Anhui Province conducted and evaluated earthquake safety of the buildings. Based on the technical requirement of buildings and characteristics of earthquakes disaster in Anqing and Fuyang city in Anhui Province, the study analyzed the main cause of the weak seismic performance of rural buildings, including unreasonable location, unscientific design and planning, immature construction technology, inferior and substandard building materials, and unreasonable structure of the house. This paper proposed suggestions for the seismic fortification of rural buildings, which will provide scientific basis and reference for the future seismic fortification work in southern Anhui.
