Urban Gardens and Plant Physiology: Green Infrastructure and Urban Sustainability
The balance between supply and demand of green infrastructure (GI) is of great significance for maintaining the stability of urban or regional ecosystems, improving the modernization level of territorial spatial governance system and governance capacity, and promoting high-quality urban development [1]. With the acceleration of urbanization, the importance of urban garden and plant physiology has become increasingly prominent. This study aims to explore the role of green infrastructure in urban sustainability and to analyze how plant physiology supports the development of urban gardens. Based on a comprehensive analysis of relevant literature, this paper argues that green infrastructure is a key factor to achieve sustainable urban development, and the application of plant physiology can improve the ecological benefits and aesthetic value of urban gardens.
