The author presented the features of hydraulic and hydro-technological investigations at the laboratory of fluid mechanics and hydraulics, including scientific technical works of the students, Master students, postgraduate students and doctoral students of the department of hydraulics and water resources and the department of hydraulic engineering MGSU. The modern equipment of hydraulic laboratory is reflected. The attention is drawn to the most important investigation topics, which included in the formed scientific schools and directions. The methodological aspects of the stated tasks in frames of scientific and educational process are considered.
