BASIC EXTINGUISHING METHODS FOR PEATLAND FIRES
The article discusses the main methods for preventing, detecting, inspecting, and extinguishing peatland fires. There are described the tactics for extinguishing such fires, as well as the use of fire and municipal equipment, and application of various wetting chemicals. There are analyzed the mistakes leading to resumption of peat smoldering.
